Widgets overview
Widgets let you put Sidedoor’s booking, events and voucher flows directly on your own website. A guest never has to leave your site - they book a table, grab an event ticket or buy a gift voucher inside an embedded panel that carries your branding.
You set widgets up under Settings → Marketing → Widgets.
The four widget types
Section titled “The four widget types”| Type | Name | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Bookings | Bookings | Table & guest-list bookings from your own site. |
| Events | Events | Your what’s-on listings with booking links. |
| Vouchers | Vouchers | Sell gift vouchers online. |
| All-in-one | Combo | A mini-portal with every enabled flow in one widget. |
Enabling a widget and getting its URL
Section titled “Enabling a widget and getting its URL”Each widget type has an enable toggle and, once enabled, a stable embed URL of the form:
https://thesidedoor.co/widget/<public_id>The public_id is a fixed identifier for that widget, so the URL stays the same
once created - you can embed it and forget it. The Widgets panel shows the URL in
a read-only field with a Copy button.
