Bundles & add-ons
Bundles are named sets of add-on items you sell alongside a booking - a bottle package, a birthday extra, a set menu upgrade. Once created, a bundle can be attached to table bookings and events, where it appears as an extra in the booking wizard.
You’ll find them under Settings → Inventory / Bundles.
Creating a bundle
Section titled “Creating a bundle”A bundle has a name, an Applies to setting that decides where it can be offered, and an optional banner image: a wide picture (cropped 4:1) shown above the bundle wherever it’s offered - the booking widget and the guest portal’s add-on and pre-order steps. Upload or remove it from the bundle’s edit screen; a bundle without one just shows its name and items as normal.
| Applies to | The bundle can be attached to… |
|---|---|
| Tables | Table reservations. |
| Events | Events. |
Inside the bundle you add items. Each item has:
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Name | What the add-on is called, for example Bottle of Prosecco. |
| Price | The item’s price. |
| Max quantity | The most of this item a guest can add to one booking. |
| Image | A picture shown in the booking wizard. |
| Variant groups | Optional. Configurable options a guest picks for the item - see below. |
Configurable items with variant groups
Section titled “Configurable items with variant groups”An item can carry variant groups so a guest configures it as they add it - a Spice level, a choice of Sides, optional Add-ons. Add a group to an item, give it a name, and choose how it behaves:
| Group setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Type | Single-select (the guest picks exactly one option) or multi-select (the guest can pick several). |
| Options | The choices in the group. Each option has a label and an optional price add-on in addition to the item’s base price. |
When an item has priced options, its base price is the cheapest option, and the guest sees it as a “From £x” price with an Add step that opens the choices, rather than a plain quantity stepper. The final price is worked out from what they pick.
Variant groups apply wherever the item is offered - optional add-ons, mandatory pre-orders, and the pre-order items your team adds from a reservation.
Attaching bundles
Section titled “Attaching bundles”Bundles are offered through your access profiles:
- Table profiles have an Optional add-ons field - attach bundles you want offered as extras with table reservations.
- Table profiles also have a Pre-orders field - attach bundles here to make choosing from them a mandatory step. Both fields draw from the same table bundles; the difference is that a pre-order can’t be skipped.
- Event profiles have a bundles field - attach bundles for that event.
Guests see attached bundles in the order you list them in Inventory, unless a profile has its own order set: each profile’s add-ons, pre-orders and event bundles can be dragged into their own order, which then takes priority for guests booking through that profile.
When a guest books through a rule or event that has bundles attached, the items appear in the booking wizard, priced and quantity-capped as you set them. Optional add-ons can be skipped; a required pre-order can’t - the guest must choose at least one item to continue.
Pay at venue (Table profiles)
Section titled “Pay at venue (Table profiles)”On a Table profile, the Optional add-ons and Pre-orders sections each have their own Pay at venue toggle:
- Off (the default): the section’s items are charged as part of the booking, and their cost is folded into any card hold or deposit taken at booking time.
- On: the guest still selects those items in the wizard, but they pay for them at the venue rather than at booking. Their cost is excluded from the card hold, though any deposit or minimum spend still applies. The wizard shows a “pay at venue” note next to the section instead of adding it to the held amount.
This toggle is Table-only: Event profiles have no Pay at venue option, so event bundle costs always feed into the deposit.
