Leaving a review

After you attend a venue you booked through Sidedoor, we may send you a short “How was it?” email so you can tell the venue how it went. It only takes a moment, and your feedback goes straight to the people who run the venue.

Sidedoor sends the email from “How was <venue>?” after you attend something you booked - a table reservation, an event, or a guest-list booking - once you’ve been checked in.

You’ll get one review request per visit, so we won’t nag you. Buying a voucher doesn’t trigger a review email.

Tap Leave a review in the email to open a simple review page:

  1. Pick a rating - tap from 1 to 5 stars.
  2. Rate a few extras, if the venue asks for them - some venues add their own categories, like food, drinks or service. Rate any that appear, or leave them blank.
  3. Say whether you’d recommend the venue, if the venue asks - a quick yes or no.
  4. Add a comment (optional) - a few words on what you enjoyed, or anything the venue could do better.
  5. Choose Submit review.

Every extra question is optional: skip any you’d rather not answer.

You can leave one review per visit. If you open the link again after submitting, you’ll just see a thank-you - there’s nothing more to do.

Yes. Your rating and comment go only to the venue, so the team can see how your visit went and act on your feedback. Reviews aren’t published anywhere: they don’t appear on Sidedoor, on the venue’s page or on any other site.
